Spring marketing ideas

Spring has officially sprung and it’s a great time to try something fresh, fun, exciting and new! So we’ve picked a few ideas to help inspire your spring marketing!

First, let’s start with a few ideas that align with some of spring’s biggest holidays:

Host an Easter egg hunt

It’s not too late to plan a fun Easter egg hunt! Our previous client, The GoODS is gearing up to host their epic, annual The Grand Hunt where participants have the opportunity to win some amazing prizes!

Another business I’ve seen host an egg hunt was LUSH. Years ago, they teased that the Easter Bunny would be at a special location giving out some LUSH goodies! Once hunters showed up at their secret location, they’d receive Easter bubble bars.

Both of these are similar but the LUSH hunt was held at one location with one prize (going to many participants), while The GoODS hunt visits multiple locations and has several different prizes. While you may not have enough time or resources to pull off The Grand Hunt right now, you can create your own easter hunt that leads people to one or more locations!

Think ahead and plan for Mother’s Day

Those in the UK may have celebrated Mother’s Day this past weekend, but manyof us won’t be celebrating until May, so that gives you some time to think about what you’d like to do. And there are so many options you can choose from! For example, you can create your own gift guide, offer a special package or discount, or host a giveaway.

Next, we’re going to cover some ideas that are a little more general and that you can do at any point during the spring season!

Do some spring cleaning

In the spring, many of us do some spring cleaning to freshen up and to declutter our spaces, but you can take that idea and use it for your business as well. For example, do you have products you want to move out of your inventory to clear the way for new products? If so, you can have a spring sale and offer customers a discount! Either share a discount code (via social media or through email marketing) or have a sale on your website that is accessible to everyone.

Tie spring into your social media content

This will work especially well for product-based businesses. Find ways to tie the spring theme into your content for social media. For example, if you’re a fashion brand (everything from clothing to accessories), you couldcreate content that shares spring outfit ideas - you can even tie them into certain spring activities or observances if you want to, like brunch or Mother’s Day. If you’re a food or beverage company, you could share spring recipes, tutorials, or even inspiration for entertaining at home.

Partner with another business

Spring is also about planting seeds and growth and a great way to incorporate that idea into your business is to partner with another business (or more than one)! We’ve talked about this before, but this is a great way to amplify your marketing strategy and build your connections in your local community and with your customers.

We suggest partnering with businesses that offer complementary services or products to yours and that are within your local community. There are several ways you couldpartner with another business, for example, host a giveaway together, offer a bundle of your goods or services, host some sort of event, etc. You can certainly get creative with this idea, but make sure whatever you decide to do still aligns with both businesses' brands and values.

Create a gift guide or bundle deal

I mentioned the idea of creating a Mother’s Day gift guide above, but it doesn’t stop there. You could create a gift guide or something like a bundle deal for Easter as well. You could even create a Spring bundle deal.
