We’re expanding! Welcome to the SongBird team, Michelle!

SongBird is thrilled to announce that there is a new girl in town! She’s creative, loves to add a personal touch, and actually does ride off into the sunset on a regular basis (we’re not joking!).Michelle Fernandes is an experienced marketing and public relations professional with a passion for all things photography and equestrian.

Her approach to Marketing and PR fits snugly with what we do at SongBird. She believes it’s all about a continuous two-way communication between organizations and their public. And she stays up to date with current events so messaging can be targeted to specific audiences at strategic times.

As a PR professional, she has worked with a number of local and national brands including: Fellowes Canada, Velas Resorts, Art Deco, The Toronto Snow Show, GTA Home Show, Moores Clothing for Men, and Buffalo International Airport.

She is an accomplished photographer with a growing professional portfolio of photography projects including portrait work, equine photography, pet portraits, and landscapes.

So you can get to know Michelle a little bit better, we thought we’d ask her a few questions:

  1. Favourite quote: “To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield”  - Ulysses

  2. Favourite thing to do on a cold day: Either get cozy on the couch with tea and a good movie, or bundle up and embrace the cold and enjoy the snow. (We love that she’s so adaptable…)

  3. Life goals: Win an award for my photography… Experience the Northern Lights… Dip my toes in the Hudson Bay…

  4. What do you do when you’re not working: Take courses in photography, watch the latest movies, and progress my equestrian skills.

  5. Something that no one else knows about you: Tough one! I’m shy?

  6. Biggest accomplishment to date: Travelling the world on my own. Having the confidence to experience new cultures and adventure through unknown cities and countries.

Look for Michelle’s voice on the SongBird Spotlight!
