After 3 years of promoting art in Toronto and creating art while building the Nadia Lloyd brand in the background, SongBird was hired to officially introduce Nadia Lloyd to the media as an artist and designer in 2016. Nadia is the founder of Toronto Art Crawl – which has 5 large-scale events per year – and we needed to find a way to have her stand out as more than an event producer. We needed to generate buzz around her personal brand, and we planned to do it through the media and other influencers by showcasing her work.

STRATEGY

  • Content Development: We developed content for and designed a media kit to be used in all outreach as well as a media release for the targeted brand launch.
  • Media Relations: We conducted a highly targeted media outreach program within the Greater Toronto Area to generate buzz about Nadia’s Toronto Collection as well as her as an artist and designer. A follow up campaign was run to target holiday gift guides, which was a product-specific pitch.

RESULTS

SongBird secured coverage in top tier publications, both digital and print, on broadcast media (television), and with targeted influencers

Nadia and her products were/will be featured in outlets such as: Rogers Daytime, Toronto Star, Metro, Parkdale Villager, Today’s Parent (upcoming), ParentsCanada (upcoming), The Chic Confidential, Cameras and Clutches, Jesse Hazen, Canadian gift guide (upcoming), Oh Baby! Magazine (upcoming), Me, Myself and Kids, The Baby Spot (upcoming), and Just a Trace (upcoming)
